Exploring Valladolid, Cenote Zaci, Cenote Dzitnup and Uyama
Allan i, together with friends Jim, Janet, Marilou, and Isa are being at the Maria de la Luz Hotel, a no frills, $40 USD/night hotel with pool on the town center square with decent double beds and unbeatable location. I walk out top door and am greeted with the hustle and bustle of city life because it bends around the city square. Through the night the Church of San Servacio with dual spires looms within the rooftops and shines being a beautiful medallion.
Day and night I feast on rich and creamy homemade coconut soft ice cream with components of whole coconut. It certainly really helps to beat the temperature and humidity which is noticeably more oppressive than with the coast. However, the beauty and charm of Valladolid make any temporary discomfort more tolerable. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast on the city square with the Meson de Marquez with cool interior courtyard with green grass, fountain, hanging plants and Mexican art around the walls.
